Both sites can be contacted by telephone 08:00 – 18:00 or in person during the opening hours 08:00 – 18:30.

A booked appointment is needed for all clinicians either face to face consultations or telephone triage. Therefore the receptionist may ask you why you need the appointment. This is so they can book you in to see the right clinician for your needs, so please be helpful to reception staff. You can also book appointments online via the link at the top of this page, please ask reception for a password to activate.

Telephone Advice

If you wish to speak with one of the doctors or nurses and they are unavailable at that time, your number will be taken and we will try to get back to you as soon as possible.

Extended Access - Appointments outside practice hours

Extra appointments are being provided in the evening and at weekends across Doncaster. The service is an extension of your GP practice and offers routine and same day appointments with a range of clinicians including GPs, Nurses and other Healthcare Professionals.

When using the service, you may not see your usual doctor, but clinicians are employed from local practices where possible.

With your consent, the clinicians will be able to access your healthcare record to ensure they can offer the right treatment for you, and prescribe medication or refer you for further treatment if necessary.

These appointments are run by Primary Care Doncaster Limited and are offered from the following locations:

 The Lakeside Practice, Askern, DN6 0HZ

 Tickhill and Colliery Medical Practice, Tickhill, DN11 9NA

 Conisbrough Group Practice, Conisbrough, DN12 3JW

 Thorne Moor Medical Practice, Thorne, DN8 4BQ

 Same Day Health Centre, Town Centre, DN1 2DJ

We can book you an appointment out of practice hours at a weekend or evening from reception – ask for further details.

Named GP

All patients have a named GP as part of a care plan, this does not necessarily mean they have to see that specific GP every time they visit the practice. Patients may be required to visit for a checkup if they have not attended practice for a long period of time, patients also have the choice of seeing a preferred clinician, and we endeavor to make this possible where practicable dependent on appointment type.

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else. A letter will be sent out to patients who do not attend appointments (DNA). Failure to cancel and DNA 3 appointments will result in a patient being removed from the practice list.
