Our practice is currently trialling Accurx Ambient Scribe, an AI-assisted clinical documentation tool that helps clinicians create consultation notes more efficiently. The system can listen to the conversation during your appointment and generate a draft summary, allowing your clinician to spend less time typing and more time focusing on you.

How Does It Work?

During your consultation, Accurx Ambient Scribe can:

• Transcribe the conversation between you and your clinician.
• Generate draft consultation notes.
• Assist with creating referral letters and other clinical documentation.

Your clinician reviews and checks all information before it is added to your medical record. The system does not make decisions about your care, and your clinician remains fully responsible for all clinical decisions.

How Is My Information Protected?

We take the security and confidentiality of your information seriously.

• Audio is processed securely and is not permanently stored.
• Recordings are deleted after they have been processed.
• The system complies with UK data protection legislation and NHS information governance standards.
• All information remains subject to the same confidentiality rules that apply to your medical record.

Do I Have a Choice?

Yes.

If you would prefer Accurx Ambient Scribe not to be used during your consultation, please tell your clinician. Your care will not be affected in any way.
