Domestic Abuse
If you are a victim of domestic abuse or violence, then there is information and support available.
Domestic abuse or violence includes a range of abusive behaviour (either physical-which includes non-fatal strangulation, sexual, financial, psychological or emotional abuse) that is directed towards a family member or partner, by someone who 16 years old or above. Perpetrators and victims can be of either gender.
Domestic abuse can happen to anyone, including partners, ex-partners, family members, regardless of sexuality or gender orientation, race, background or upbringing.
Children and young people can also be affected by the abuse they see and hear and can experience abuse from their own boyfriend or girlfriend.

If you fear for your safety or feel that you are in an emergency situation, then you must call the police on 999.
